MUSIC THEORY

MUSIC THEORY – 2nd Semester

NOTE NAMING GAMES

from Musictheory.net

These exercises are 20 questions each (PIECE OF CAKE!) and have a time limit of 30 minutes (PLENTY OF TIME!).  The first exercises have helps and are plain notes, and the second exercises add a few more notes, notes with accidentals but no helps.  You are given multiple attempts to reach the correct answer. (WOW! WHAT A DEAL!)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WHEN YOU FINISH AN EXERCISE:

  1. Click “View Report”,
  1. Enter a signature using this method – If you are a brass player, put the letter “B” for Brass, space, and then your first and last initials.  If you are a woodwind player, put the letter “W” for woodwind, space, and then your first and last initials,  If you are a percussion player, put the letter “P” for percussion, space and then your first and last initials.  Example – “P JS”  This tells me this is from my favorite student percussionist, Joe Schmo.
