The Million Word Challenge is a competitive program monitored by Mrs. Wilkes for students and teachers who have read a million words or more. On the first day of the month, the library displays an updated list of the top 10 readers and their ranking. 

Students and teachers who reach one million words read are recognized with a certificate, an invitation to our end of the year luncheon as well as other forms of recognition when possible. Their achievements are also recognized at the grade level end of the year award ceremonies.
